amy prior and carly schwerdt of Umbrella Prints

For years I've loved the graphic fabrics created by Amy Prior and Carly Schwerdt, the creative duo behind textile house Umbrella Prints. Their cheerful hand drawn designs screen printed on natural organic hemp and cotton, are instantly recognisable and suit myriad applications whether it is homewares, craft projects, patchwork, upholstery or clothing. The striking fabrics have been used by a various Australian companies including Enoki whose dreamy culumus cloud pendants look divine in a range of Umbrella textiles, as do the new wonder tents for kids by emerging design practice Such Great Heights. With Amy and Carly's new range Floating World just around the corner, fresh fabric may be just what you need to transform your home in time for spring (only a five weeks to go, but who is counting). Stocked in myriad fabric stores around the country, as well as online, checkout Umbrella Print's website here for beautiful bundles of fabric and a full list of stockists.
