A man of many talents - designer, sculptor, artist, glassblower and mixed media visionary, Lucas Salton began his career more than two decades ago working with glass. Influenced by the natural environment his fluid, sublime forms have captured the imagination of many who have snapped up his work for their own private collections or simply admired them from afar. More recently Lucas' has poured his creative energy into developing public art and producing private large scale commission pieces. As striking as they are diverse, works include sculptural chandeliers in Brisbane's La Ruche Bar, street-scape beautification pieces, large scale installations and public art  including a collection of glass turtles which I am lucky enough scamper past on my daily foreshore run. With increasing demand for his work Lucas admits weekends have fallen by the wayside, yet when you love your work, who wants two days off? For information on his 20 year glass retrospective visit Lucas' website.
